Title: Evil landlady maze
Aim: เพื่อฝึกทักษะการอ่านเพื่อจับประเด็นสำคัญ (skimming reading)
Level: ระดับกลาง
Time: 45 นาที
Requirements:
Hardware: นักเรียน 2-3 คน ต่อคอมพิวเตอร์ 1 เครื่อง ซึ่งได้ทำการเชื่อมต่อระบบอินเตอร์เน็ตไว้แล้ว

Preparation:
1. เลือกแบบฝึกหัดที่เหมาะสมต่อการฝึกฝนทักษะการอ่านเพื่อจับประเด็นสำคัญ ซึ่งแบบฝึกหัดดังกล่าวคือ Evil landlady maze
2. ฝึกทำแบบฝึกหัดนี้ก่อนนำไปใช้จริงกับนักเรียน

Procedure:
3. บอกเล่าเรื่องราวทั่วไปของประเทศแคนาดา เช่น ที่ตั้ง ภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศ สถานที่สำคัญ
4. อธิบายวิธีการทำแบบฝึกหัด พร้อมทั้งสาธิตให้เห็นอย่างชัดเจน กล่าวคือ ให้นักเรียนอ่านและทำความเข้าใจเรื่องอย่างชัดแจ้งก่อนตัดสินใจคลิกเมาท์ที่ตัวเลือกที่เหมาะสม

Pre-computer work:
5. แบ่งนักเรียนกลุ่มๆ ละ 2-3 คน แล้วนั่งประจำเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ 1 เครื่อง
6. นักเรียนเปิดเว็บไซด์

7. นักเรียนทำกิจกรรมในแบบฝึกหัดตามวิธีการที่ครูได้สาธิตไปแล้ว
8. นักเรียนบันทึกประเด็นสำญที่เกิดขึ้นในแต่ละลำดับเหตุการณ์

Post-computer work:
9. นักเรียนช่วยกันสรุปเหตุการณ์เป็นเรื่องราวสั้นเพื่อนำเสนอ
10.นักเรียนแต่ละกลุ่มเลือกตัวแทน 1 คนเพื่อนำเสนอเรื่องที่สรุปไว้แล้ว
11.นักเรียนทั้งหมดในห้องเรียนลงมติเสียงด้วยการยกมือ เพื่อเลือกวิธีการแก้ไขปัญหาที่ดีที่สุด

Variations:
1. นักเรียนสามารถทำกิจกรรมนี้เป็นรายคนได้
2. ครูสามารถนำบัญชืรายชื่อเว็บไซด์ที่สามารถฝึกทักษะการอ่านเพื่อจับประเด็นมาให้นักเรียนเลือกทำตามความสนใจได้

Reading Mazes

I was enjoyed when I joint with "Visiting Newcastle" in http://www.staff.ncl.ac.uk/scott.windeatt/maze/cindy2/index.htm which produced by the MA students at the University of Newcastle. Then I would like to discuss as follows:

1. What kides of reading skills can be practised with Reading mazes? The kind of reading skill which I can pracetise is skimming- reading for main idea.

2. Can you think of any skills that can be practised with the program? Yes, I can. The skill that can be practied is scanning- reading for a specific information.

3. Can you use any of these activities with your leaners? Why orWhy not? Yes, I can. The text is very interesting and easily to understand because the vocaburaies aren't too difficult, so that the leaners can improve their reading skill with happyness.

4. What kinds of problems are likely to occur if you use the activities with your learners? Because of the too blight blackground and letters coulor, the leaner won't read the text easily. Moreover, some learns may not known where Newcastle is.

5. What can you do to solve the problem? Although I can't change the coulor on the webpage, I'm try to describe clearly about Newcastle town to my learners, and I will show their Newcastle pictures.

My enjoyable hasn't finished. I has visited the "holiday maze" which is set on microsolf powerpoint on http://webhost.tsu.ac.th/porntip. It is interesting activity and useful for placticing reading. After doing the activity I know better about Italy, India and Australia. However, I have to discuss as follows:

1. What kides of reading skills can be practised with Reading mazes? The kind of reading skill which I can pracetise is scaning- reading for a specific information.

3. Can you use any of these activities with your leaners? Why orWhy not? Yes, I can. The vocabularies in text isn't too difficult to understand and the text isn't to long. The situations may happen with them. I think the student will be interested in the activity.

4. What kinds of problems are likely to occur if you use the activities with your learners? The students may be confused or annoyed with cliking because if they wherever, the program will run to next page immediatly though they don't want or they haven't already choosen a choice .

5. What can you do to solve the problem? I have to tell the student that they should clik the mouse carefully.

Task1: Answer Questions about Blogs

The first blog that I visited is Samantha Hague.

The blog is a tutor blog which is very useful for language teachers becauase the blogger has posted how to use English such as many interesting vocabularies, phrases, and exercises so the teachers can joint their opinion with her to improve teaching techniques.

The blog is a learner blog which is very useful for language teacher. The student tells about her life, so teacher understand her and known how to make lesson plan which is suitable for her. In addition, the student posts task on blog too, there for, the teacher can correct the task and give some advice to her easily.

The third blog that I visited is William' s class blog.

The blog is a class blog which is useful for language teacher. There are many advantages for teaching such as how to make a lesson plan, using good materials, moreover, there are good links that the learners can practice their language skill; listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

My Faverite Picture

Yesterday, 15 June 2007, I leanded about making link and posting a picture on blog.

This picture was taken at Pa Hin Ngam National Park, thombon Baanrai, aumper Thep sathit, Chaiyaphum province that is only 270 km. from Bangkok.

In the early part of the rainy season inJuly, DokKrachiao, a jungle flower with an underground bulb, will sprout pink blooms all over the area.
